We use Google Analytics to understand how people use CatSweetie and Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not ask visitors to create an account to read our stories.
Information we collect
When you visit CatSweetie, our service providers may process technical and usage information such as pages viewed, referral source, browser and device type, approximate location, language, and the date and time of a visit. This information helps us understand site performance, prevent abuse, and improve our stories and guides.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics. Please do not include sensitive personal information in URLs, search fields, or messages you send us.
Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how visitors engage with the site. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies, including the _ga cookie, to distinguish visits and report aggregate site-use statistics. Google’s own privacy and cookie information explains how Google processes this data.
Cloudflare provides our hosting, delivery, and security services. It may process technical request information needed to operate and protect the site. We do not use Google Analytics advertising features or knowingly use Analytics to collect sensitive information.
We may update this section before enabling additional services, including a live email newsletter, affiliate links, or advertising features.
How we use information
- to operate, secure, and improve CatSweetie;
- to understand which stories and guides are useful to readers;
- to diagnose technical problems and prevent misuse; and
- to respond to messages or requests, if you choose to send them.
The current Cat Note form is not connected to a mailing-list service and does not send your email address to our server. If we introduce an email sign-up service, we will update this policy and provide the relevant notice at the point of collection.
Your choices
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. If you contact us, you may ask us to delete the information you provided, subject to any legal or security need to retain it.
Privacy rights and international visitors
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to certain processing. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law.
CatSweetie is available internationally. Information handled by our service providers may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.
Children
CatSweetie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
